A Shaving Journey!
Who taught you to shave? Did someone actually sit you down and teach you? I can't remember and so I learnt by doing. And I tried everything…
Like most people I started with a cartridge razor, as that's what's in the mainstream media, TV adverts etc got me looking in that direction. Who couldn't ignore an advert with Thierry Henry, Roger Federer and Tiger Woods in one go.
My problem is that I had sensitive skin with thick coarse hair, this left me only wanting to shave once or twice a week and eventually cartridge razors just wouldn't cut it. I tried all types; disposables, supermarket brands, specialist brands and they all had the same issues, patchy shaves leaving my skin feeling awful. I then went down the expensive path of electric razors and beard trimmers which still left me with terrible skin with a 5 o'clock shadow within an hour or so.
This was until a friend introduced me to safety razor shaving and I have never looked back. I can now get a super smooth shave with no skin irritation. I cannot even remember the last time I had ingrown hair. I started off with a starter razor and canned shaving foam. Over time I have mixed up the soaps and blades that I use and found my way of shaving. This helped me create the new wave shaving system of; razor, blade’s, bowl and brush, and my skin has never been as happy.
